Writer-in-Residence

The Writer-in-Residence programme is a joint venture of NIAS and the Dutch Foundation for Literature ('Nederlands Letterenfonds') in Amsterdam. The position of Writer-in-Residence is intended for fiction and non-fiction writers who would benefit from an extended period in an international community of scholars. Invitations are extended by NIAS on the advice of the Nederlands Letterenfonds.
These fellowships are offered to one Dutch and one non-Dutch writer for a five-month period either from 1 September until 31 January, or from 1 February until 30 June.
